A lively group of people in matching shirts cheer energetically inside a large auditorium, filled with more enthusiastic attendees.Since 1980, the Presbyterian Youth Triennium (PYT) has been a pivotal event every three years, bringing together high schoolers and young adults to foster community, leadership, and spiritual growth. For over a decade, Worship Times has played a key role in supporting this event by building five distinct websites for each gathering— including the one that was unfortunately canceled near the end of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2022.

This July marks the first in-person event in six years, and anticipation is particularly high. Construction of the current website began last summer, starting with basic “save the date” details and expanding as more plans were confirmed. New content is added weekly, with frequent updates as the event draws closer. Once the event is live, the website functions like an app, offering real-time information and guidance to attendees. Recognizing that most conference-goers access the website via mobile phones, Worship Times optimizes the online platform to ensure a seamless experience across all devices.

Post-event, the site transitions into a valuable resource for those using the content at home, in small groups, summer camps, or Sunday schools. When the time comes for the next Triennium, the old site is archived.

One of the most valuable sections of each PYT site is the FAQs page, which offers essential information answering common questions about the event. Presented in an easy-to-navigate format with bright blue drop-down boxes, users can quickly find the answers they need. There is also a dynamic and interactive Event Schedule page that allows attendees to easily find sessions, workshops, and activities that interest them.

Another key feature is the PYT News page, where media coverage and articles promoting people and activities related to the event are posted as they become available. This helps build excitement for attendees traveling from across the U.S. and even internationally.

A crowd is gathered, creating a lively and festive atmosphere. The PYT partnership is especially meaningful to the co-founders of Worship Times, Michael and Susan Gyura, who have been personally and professionally involved with the organization for decades. Michael attended as a youth, and Susan worked on the event starting in 2008 through her employment with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. The couple even credits PYT for their serendipitous introduction when Michael became the webmaster in 2010. Their kids and other relatives have participated in the event, and they look forward to bringing another family group to this year’s gathering.

“It has had a profound impact not only on our lives but also on our kids,” said Susan. “I’m excited for them to experience a week of worship, service, recreation, and fun in communion with over 7,000 others.”

Susan also emphasized that the event is almost entirely volunteer-run and that scholarships are available to ensure everyone has the opportunity to attend.

Like the event itself, the website requires significant planning and coordination. Worship Times is honored to support this Spirit-filled endeavor, which has blessed their family and so many others over the years.
