When St. Paul’s Episcopal Church approached Worship Times, they knew their website needed attention, but the full scope of the issues did not become clear until we began reviewing their existing content and structure. The site was difficult to navigate, overly text-heavy, and filled with outdated information. Even simple details like service times, upcoming events, and contact information were hard for visitors to locate. Their calendar tools were also causing confusion, especially with Realm limitations and inconsistent updates.

From our first conversation with Father Victor Hailey, it was clear the church was ready for a more welcoming, intuitive online presence. He shared examples of features he loved from a previous parish website, and from there we began shaping a plan that honored both St. Paul’s identity and their practical needs.

A Clearer, More Inviting Homepage

One of the first goals was to simplify the visitor experience. The church wanted a homepage that made immediate sense, placing service times, contact information, and event details where users could find them without searching. Their building, known locally for its distinctive architecture and “wave” roofline, also needed to take center stage through strong photography and video.

We created a refreshed layout that highlights the church’s mission, incorporates their updated branding, and uses cleaner text blocks to guide readers naturally down the page. The result is a homepage that reflects the warmth and personality of the congregation while staying accessible to newcomers.

Navigation Shaped by Their Vision

Father Victor was especially drawn to the navigation on the site of his previous parish, St. Stephen’s. He appreciated its clarity and full-menu layout, so we used that as a model while tailoring the structure to St. Paul’s needs. Several outdated sections were removed, and others were reorganized or renamed for clarity, including a shift from “Mission and Ministries” to “Get Involved.” New areas were added as well, such as Capital Campaign and News and Announcements, offering space for ongoing communication.

These adjustments created a navigation system that feels familiar, intuitive, and better aligned with the church’s ministries.

A Dedicated Space for their Capital Campaign

With renovations underway across several buildings, St. Paul’s needed a centralized place to share updates, photos, and announcements. We added a dedicated Capital Campaign section to house construction progress, images, and community engagement efforts. This has already become a meaningful tool for keeping the congregation informed and connected.

Improved Communication Tools

The church also wanted more reliable and flexible media options. After discussing the limitations of Facebook’s livestreaming policies, we integrated YouTube directly into the site for live worship and video archives. We also strengthened their Mailchimp connection and refreshed their media galleries with new photography, including drone footage of the building.

These updates allow St. Paul’s to share their worship life and community events more effectively.

Refreshing and Unifying Their Branding

St. Paul’s was in the process of transitioning to a new logo and visual identity. We built the website around their Gotham font, blue color palette, and updated branding assets, with room for subtle accent colors to support readability. The end result is a cleaner, more cohesive presentation that carries their personality throughout the site.

Content Updates and Clarity

Because the previous site struggled with outdated information and inconsistent calendar management, we now help maintain their content, keeping announcements, events, and capital campaign updates accurate and easy to find.

Livestream and Media Assistance

We monitor YouTube livestream tools, assist with video embed updates, and help integrate new visual assets as they become available. This ensures their worship and community life remains accessible online.

Branding Consistency

As St. Paul’s updates materials or posts seasonal content, we help keep the site aligned with their new branding, including images, banners, and messaging.

Technical Maintenance

We handle plugin updates, performance monitoring, security improvements, and calendar troubleshooting, ensuring the site stays stable and reliable behind the scenes.

A Continuing Partnership

Perhaps most importantly, St. Paul’s has a team ready to help whenever questions arise. Our support system gives them confidence that their website will continue to serve their congregation well, without requiring staff or volunteers to take on technical burdens.

Where They Are Now

With their new site live and supported, St. Paul’s now has a cleaner, more intuitive online presence that welcomes visitors, supports longtime members, and reflects the spirit of their community. Their distinctive building, ministries, and mission all have room to shine, and their staff can focus on ministry knowing their website is in good hands.

I used Worship Times at my former parish and when I got to my new parish, and when I saw that we needed a new website, I knew how good the work Worship Times does, and how easy it is to work with them.
